Born in 1889, John Morton-Finney was a World War I Buffalo Soldiers, educator, and civil rights advocate who refused to let age define his limits. Over the course of his life, he earned 11 academic degrees and continued practicing law until the age of 106, becoming the longest-practicing attorney in U.S. history.
His story is a living rebuttal to the idea that it’s ever “too late” — proving that discipline, learning, and purpose compound over time.
