Before Amelia Earhart ever took flight, Bessie Coleman was already rewriting history.
Born to sharecroppers in Texas, Bessie faced poverty, racism, and sexism — yet refused to let “no” be her ceiling. She taught herself French, traveled overseas, and in 1921 became the first Black woman in America to earn a pilot’s license.
Her courage broke barriers and inspired generations to rise above every limitation.
Because when the world tried to ground her — she learned to fly.
