When 4th grader Garreth Bell was asked who his hero was, he didn’t hesitate — “My dad, Stephen.” 🥹
Stephen became paralyzed in 1992 after a burst blood vessel in his spine left him unable to walk. Years later, Garreth wrote in a school essay, “Poppa, I’ve been watching you suffer my whole life. I should become someone who can do something about it so others don’t have to go through what you went through.” 💔
He kept that promise. Garreth went on to study at the University of Miami, becoming a physical therapist and now helps run adaptive beach days, giving people with disabilities the chance to experience the ocean again. 🌊💪🏾
💬 A true story of love, strength, and legacy.
