Tyler, the Creator is speaking out against Meta’s AI-powered smart glasses, saying the technology crosses a line when it comes to privacy and consent.
The Grammy-winning artist criticized the glasses after reports highlighted how wearable cameras can be used to record people without their knowledge. He called the technology invasive and said those who use the glasses are “weirdos.”
Tyler has previously been vocal about strangers recording him without permission, arguing that the growing culture of turning everyday interactions into online content is making personal privacy increasingly difficult to protect.
As camera-enabled wearables become more common, his comments are raising a bigger question:
