Texas Suspends Over 100 Teachers for Posts on Charlie Kirk’s Assassination, Citing Unacceptable Incitement

Gov. Greg Abbott announced that more than 100 Texas teachers will have their teaching certifications suspended after allegedly endorsing Charlie Kirk’s assassination or calling for more violence online.

The Texas Education Agency says it has received nearly 200 complaints about educators’ posts. Commissioner Mike Morath stated that while some comments may simply be in “poor taste,” those that incite further violence are “clearly unacceptable.”

TEA’s Educator Investigations Division has begun reviewing the posts and will recommend that the teachers involved be barred from teaching in Texas public schools.

Do you agree with Texas suspending over 100 teachers for their posts about Charlie Kirk?
