Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, And Erykah Badu On Visions Hosted By Vernon Odom

The 𝓢𝓾𝓰𝓪𝓻 𝓦𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓻 Festival (2005) Inspired by the Lilith Fair Queen, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott created the Sugar Water Festival as a way to educate and raise awareness surrounding the health

“Imagine having Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu in the same room. Now imagine getting to witness their chemistry in an interview from 2005.

This nostalgic clip reportedly comes from Visions, a television program aired by Philadelphia’s WPVI-TV, during the Sugar Water Festival tour.

The 2005 tour brought together three influential women in music: Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu, with Floetry joining as the opening act.

But the Sugar Water Festival was more than a concert series. The artists envisioned it as a platform for celebrating women, promoting health awareness, and bringing positive messages into Black communities.

With three distinct personalities, musical styles, and creative perspectives sharing the spotlight, the festival became a memorable moment in early 2000s Black music culture.

And this interview footage gives fans another glimpse of that era, when some of the most influential women in hip-hop, R&B, and soul came together.

No competition. No unnecessary drama. Just three queens bringing their own flavor to the same room.
