Hip-Hop ain’t dead — it’s being preserved by the ones who built it. 🎙️ 🖤 Hip-hop legend Nas continues to prove he’s for the culture in action, not just words. During the 2nd Annual Hip-Hop Museum Benefit Gala, Nas and his partners at Resorts World Casino donated a massive $2 million to support The Hip-Hop Museum in The Bronx — the birthplace of the movement.
This donation builds on Nas’ ongoing mission to protect, honor, and elevate hip-hop pioneers who laid the foundation:
✅ He previously donated $1M of his own money and helped raise another $1M for the museum ✅ Launched the “Legend Has It…” campaign on Mass Appeal featuring 7 albums from icons like Slick Rick, Mobb Deep, Ghostface Killah, De La Soul, Raekwon, Big L & DJ Premier ✅ Partnered with Marvel to drop a Legend Has It hip-hop superhero comic ✅ Founded the Paid In Full Foundation (2023) to give financial aid & healthcare to hip-hop pioneers who were never properly compensated — legends like Rakim and Scarface have already received support
“This series is to encourage and inspire hip hop and remind us all of the pureness of hip hop. I hope that we can all do this together.” – Nas
Nas isn’t just giving back — he’s changing the narrative. He’s making sure the architects of hip-hop get their flowers, resources, and recognition NOW, not when it’s too late.
