For the first time ever, an African nation is governed entirely by women — marking a groundbreaking global milestone for gender equality and leadership. 👏🏾
Newly elected President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has become Namibia’s first female head of state and only the second directly elected woman president in Africa. Alongside her, Lucia Witbooi serves as Vice President and Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila as Speaker of the National Assembly — together forming an all-women leadership at the top.
Even more inspiring? 60% of Namibia’s cabinet is made up of women — not just in traditional roles, but in finance, foreign affairs, education, and health. 💪🏾
President Nandi-Ndaitwah stated powerfully:
“I was not elected because I’m a woman, but on merit.”
This is what happens when women’s capabilities are trusted, respected, and empowered. 💖
