A massive gas explosion ripped through the Mitchel Houses in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx around 8 a.m. this morning at Alexander Avenue near 138th Street.
A huge section of the building collapsed — exposing 20 stories. FDNY, NYPD, Con Edison, and city agencies rushed to the scene, shutting off gas service
