Google just announced a major $37M investment into Africa’s AI ecosystem — a move that ensures African researchers, students, and innovators have a real seat at the global AI table.

Here’s the breakdown:
💡 $25M will go to nonprofits and researchers using AI to fight hunger, support farmers, and build climate resilience.
🧠 $3M will boost the Masakhane AI Hub — helping develop tools for 40+ African languages.
🏛️ $1M each will fund graduate/postdoctoral AI research at University of Pretoria and Wits MIND Institute.
🌐 $7M will fund AI training, cybersecurity, and digital safety programs in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.

🎓 🇬🇭 Students in Ghana will also gain access to 100,000+ scholarships for Google AI and tech career certificates.
