Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Assata Shakur — political activist, former member of the Black Liberation Army, and godmother of Tupac Shakur — has passed away at the age of 78.
According to reports Assata Shakur has “died in Havana, Cuba, as a result of health conditions and her advanced age.”
