Janiya Baker, 15, from Homestead, advanced from 9th to 12th grade within a year through an accelerated academic pathway.
She maintained the highest GPA in her class while also competing as a student-athlete.
Her performance has earned her recognition and an opportunity to continue her education at Florida International University.
