“The South African Grammy-winning artist has partnered with Epic Records and the Institute of International Education to launch the That Girl Music Scholarship, a $50,000 initiative supporting 10 women pursuing music and arts-related degrees.
Each recipient will receive $5,000 in scholarship funding. Four awards are designated for students in South Africa, while six will support eligible students in selected U.S. locations. Recipients will also receive two concert tickets and the opportunity to meet Tyla during her tour. <Cite refs={[“”turn986847search0″”,””turn986847search3″”]}/>
The initiative goes beyond celebrating success. It helps aspiring artists access educational opportunities and pursue careers in an industry where financial barriers can make getting started difficult.
Tyla’s move is a reminder that representation becomes even more powerful when it creates opportunities for others to follow.
Who is a woman in music you would love to see launch a scholarship program?
