According to @gazafreedomflotilla Chris Smalls was aboard the Handala, a Freedom Flotilla Coalition boat trying to bring aid into to Gaza, when he was detained along with 20 other activists on the ship. Israeli forces allegedly choked and kicked Smalls, the former leader of the Amazon labor union, while he was in custody.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition says that Smalls was the only activist treated this severely by Israeli forces.
The Freedom Flotilla is urging people to call their governments to demand the release of the crew members and end their complicity in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
