House Republicans Vote To Approve Budget That Would Provide Massive Tax Cuts For the Rich While Cutting MEDICAID & SNAP Benefits

Late Tuesday evening House Republicans approved a budget resolution that lays the framework for the agenda of Donald Trump. The budget will extend Trump’s 2017 tax cuts for the rich and increase defense spending, while creating massive Medicaid cuts that could eliminate healthcare coverage for 15.9 million people.

The budget would cut $800 billion from Medicaid and $200 billion from SNAP, which would take away healthcare and food assistance for millions of Americans. Zero Democrats voted in favor of the bill.
