After more than a century, pieces of Ghana’s stolen history are finally making their way home.
The Asante king has received 130 gold and bronze artefacts returned from the UK and South Africa — items looted during colonial rule, including treasures taken in the 1900 siege of Kumasi.
Some were donated by historians, others voluntarily returned by organizations — small but meaningful steps toward restoring what was taken.
A reminder that the fight for cultural restitution is far from over… but every return is a victory.
