Delta Brings Back Atlanta to Accra Non-stop Flights After 13 Years

Delta Air Lines is bringing back nonstop service between Atlanta and Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭 starting Monday, December 1, 2025. The route, last flown in 2012, will return as a daily seasonal flight through late March 2026 on the Airbus A330-900neo, offering Delta One Suites, Premium Select, Comfort Plus, and Main Cabin, plus high-speed Wi-Fi and seatback entertainment at every seat.

With this new Atlanta route, Delta will serve Accra from two U.S. cities: year-round daily service from New York–JFK and winter service from its Atlanta hub. The airline says the flights are designed to meet strong demand from the Ghanaian diaspora, business travelers, and tourists, and to provide smooth connections across Delta’s U.S. network.

Delta has flown to Ghana since 2006 and has carried over 1.5 million customers between the U.S. and Accra. The revival of the Atlanta–Accra route is part of a larger Africa expansion that includes new flights to Marrakech and more West Africa service using the fuel-efficient A330-900neo. For travelers in the Southeast and beyond, it reestablishes a nonstop link from the world’s busiest airport to one of West Africa’s most important gateways.
