China Just Announced Zero-Tariff Access for 53 African Countries

China will now allow 98% of taxable goods from 53 African nations to enter tariff-free, opening new trade opportunities across the continent.

But there’s one country left out: Eswatini — the only African nation that still recognizes Taiwan over China diplomatically.

This move is part of China’s ongoing effort to:
✔️ Deepen ties with Africa
✔️ Support least-developed countries
✔️ Expand influence in global trade

It’s a major shift with long-term economic implications for Africa and the global south. 🌐
