Fashion quite literally took to the water at Dakar Fashion Week, transforming Senegal’s Atlantic coastline into one of the most striking runways in the world.
Designer Adama Paris unveiled a breathtaking show staged atop traditional Senegalese pirogues, with models balancing gracefully as the boats drifted across the sea. The moving runway fused couture with culture, honoring Senegal’s maritime heritage while showcasing African fashion as living, breathing art. More than spectacle, the presentation served as a powerful reminder that African creativity doesn’t borrow from tradition—it moves with it, carrying history, identity, and innovation forward in bold new ways.
