Martin Luther King Jr.’s Daughter Urges a Stop to AI Video Recreating Her Father’s Voice and Image

Bernice King, daughter of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., has publicly urged people to stop creating and sharing AI-generated videos of her father.

Responding to a post by Zelda Williams, daughter of Robin Williams, who made a similar plea, Bernice said she “concurs concerning my father” — asking fans to respect the legacy and humanity of those who’ve passed.

Her heartfelt message serves as a reminder that while technology advances, empathy and consent must remain at the forefront of how we honor history.
