She invented the Alerting Earpiece — a smart safety device disguised as an earring that can secretly take photos of an attacker and send them, along with the victim’s GPS location, to trusted contacts and emergency services. 🚨📸
Her invention was inspired by South Africa’s devastating gender-based violence crisis, where 1 in 3 women experiences physical violence in her lifetime. Every year, over 120,000 cases of violent crimes against women and children are reported — with many more going unreported. 💔
