repost @blackfriendsforever I never expected Black Wall Street to impact me the way that it did. After visiting the Greenwood Rising History Center my life will has not been the same.
I challenge you to ignore what you’ve heard about Tulsa and take the trip. I’ve travelled to many places, but this by far is the most impactful trip that l’ve ever been on.
My heart hurts for the lives and the dreams that were lost in that city. What those black people built there was absolutely beautiful. They deserved better. Black people in this country deserve better…
