FORBES Dropped Their Annual BILLIONAIRE LIST And 23 Out Of 3,028 Are Black

Forbes just released its 2025 billionaire list, and 23 Black billionaires made the cut, with a combined net worth of $96 billion. Topping the list is Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote, whose fortune—now at $23.9 billion—comes from his powerhouse ventures in cement and sugar.

Familiar icons like Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, Rihanna, LeBron James, and Tyler Perry also secured their spots. Oprah remains the wealthiest Black woman in the world, while Jay-Z leads in the entertainment world with a net worth of $2.5 billion.

These billionaires represent a wide range of industries—tech, oil, music, sports, film, healthcare from Nigeria, the U.S., South Africa, Zimbabwe, Barbados, the UK, and Canada.

There are now 3,028 billionaires worldwide, with a total combined wealth of $16.1 trillion—an increase of $2 trillion from last year… and only 23 are black. Let that sink in.
