Meet Gia, The U.S. Woman Behind Zambia’s First Black-Owned Mining Group

Gia, an African-American entrepreneur, relocated to Zambia with a mission to not only reconnect with her roots but also make a lasting impact. She sought the blessings of the elders and Chiefs, immersing herself in the community and learning the importance of collaboration, giving back, and growing together.

Through this experience, @giathehousegoddess established Zambia’s first Black-owned mining community, focusing on ethical practices and community empowerment. Today, Gia shares her expertise through masterclasses on mining, gold, and precious minerals, teaching others how to build sustainable, community-driven ventures in the industry.
