This discovery prompted a class-action lawsuit. PFAS exposure has been linked to health risks such as cancer, liver damage, and immune system issues due to its presence in bandage adhesive. Experts advise opting for PFAS-free alternatives when treating wounds to minimize risk of toxic exposure over time.
