@us.mawadda felt their community was neglected with the current PPE on the market, as what was offered didn’t meet Hijabi requirements, so they founded Mawadda. The company has a line of hygienic hijabs designed to provide the Muslim community with safe and reliable personal protective equipment (PPE)
“As Muslim women and healthcare workers we know how important the design and the fabric are to users. When working in a hospital setting with a patient there is a lot of movement involved for example when moving a patient or during CPR. So we need a design that doesn’t move and fits correctly as that shouldn’t be something to focus on—we can therefore focus on our work efficiently.
Also, breathability is something important to many people, especially in a 6-hour surgery as you should feel comfortable at work and not worry about passing out as a result of the material not being breathable.”
Mawadda meets safety and Hijabi religious standards, and in soft launch, feedback users say that it looks good and feels great.
