Southwest Detroit Neighborhood Flooded, Residents Stuck In Their Homes

An entire Southwest Detroit neighborhood is flooded with ice water leaving residents trapped in their homes.

The incident is occurring in the neighborhood of W. Vernor and Livernois.

Many homes and vehicles are flooded. Residents are currently reportedly stuck in their homes.

First responders have set up a command post to begin rescuing residents out of their homes.

The flooding was caused by a water main break, which then began to freeze up due to cold weather.
