Meet Mother Sophia Stewart, creator and owner of the “Matrix” and the “Terminator” movies/franchises.
She is also official copyright owner of ALL derivatives films as ruled by Utah judges in 2014.
According to court documents, Stewart says she gave her original six-page treatment to 20th Century Fox in 1981, but did not get any acknowledgment of their receiving it until 1985, when it was rejected.
Years later, in 1999, when the first MATRIX film was released Stewart recognized that her work had been appropriated by the Wachowski Brothers and she filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement against them, Warner Bros., Joel Silver, Village Roadshow Entertainment, James Cameron, Gale Ann Hurd and THE TERMINATOR franchise.
“On September 25, 2014 with the help of the FBI, I WON MY COPYRIGHT CASE (#: 2:07-cv-00552-DB-EJF) against the defendants; Gale Anne Hurd, James Cameron, the Wackowskis, Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures et al… for the theft of my book and script ‘THE THIRD EYE’ which were proven to have become ‘The Matrix’ and ‘The Terminator’ movies. As a result of ALL the evidence, the Judge ruled that both franchises belonged to me as the sole copyright owner. The Utah court room was full of media journalists, but no media reported this win.”
