Martin Luther King in Ghana: Insights from His 1957 Trip to Witness History

“The Birth of a New Nation,” Martin Luther King shared his experiences in Ghana and his takeaways from his trip in 1957. King said Ghana’s road to independence should teach African Americans “the oppressor never voluntarily gives freedom to the oppressed.”

MLK, Malcolm and many others found their way to GHANA 🇬🇭 during this time as well.
