While DEI is being weaponized as a talking point in this horrific tragedy, it’s important to note that it is FALSE that people get hired for positions they’re unqualified for because of DEI. DEI simply levels the playing field so that QUALIFIED individuals of different backgrounds (I.e. people of color, white women, people with disabilities, working parents, etc) have a fair chance at those roles.
