DHS Refuses to Say If Refugees From CONGO Will Be Brought Into The U.S.

Victor Blackwell pressed DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin on whether the White House intends to expedite refugee status approval for Congolese or Sudanese individuals currently facing genocide.

This inquiry comes after the Trump administration recently admitted 49 white Afrikaner refugees from South Africa, claiming they are fleeing racial discrimination and government policies threatening their land and livelihoods—claims denied by South Africa’s government.

In contrast, the Trump administration has significantly restricted refugee admissions for non-white individuals fleeing violence and poverty, canceled longstanding asylum appointments, and terminated Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for hundreds of thousands of refugees from countries including Haiti, Afghanistan, Cameroon, and Venezuela—placing them at risk of deportation.

While white South Africans are prioritized for resettlement and support, millions of non-white refugees and asylum seekers continue to face uncertainty and danger.
