Georgia Tech students are helping a local nonprofit restore dignity to Atlanta’s homeless with an innovative Mobile Laundry Bus. Having provided showers for homeless people for several years, @FlowingWithBlessingsInc wanted to find a way to allow their clients to leave with clean clothes. They bought a school bus and came to @GeorgiaTech for help in figuring out how to convert it into a mobile laundry service.
Tech’s industrial design students designed the layout of the washers and dryers to ensure an effective operation. The organization has already made a significant impact, serving over 4,500 individuals and assisting approximately 60 people daily 🚌
