In North Kivu 🇨🇩 DRC, over 7 MILLION people are displaced, living in makeshift camps due to the exploitation of their land for cobalt—the mineral powering the green energy revolution. As the world pushes for clean energy with electric cars and tech gadgets, these people are paying the price in hunger, disease, displacement and DEATH.
Half the population lacks access to clean water, and daily, people—mostly children—are dying as diseases spread uncontrollably.
Despite having one of Africa’s most valuable natural resources, cobalt, they face unimaginable hardships due to foreign exploitation.
📲🩸 The next time you scroll on your new smartphone or drive your electric car, remember the blood, sweat, and tears of those fueling this revolution. It’s time to amplify their voices and demand justice.
#FREECONGO, because the people of DRC deserve more than to be collateral damage in the pursuit of profit.
